A 17-year-old girl and her mother were allegedly stabbed to death reportedly by the former’s lover at Hukumpeta area in Rajamahendravaram city on Sunday. The incident occurred after the girl’s brother left home to attend work in a chicken shop in the early hours of Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Md. Samaya and her mother Md.Salma (37), who were reportedly eliminated by the former’s lover, said East Zone DSP B. Vidhya.
“Ms. Samaya was a dancer in a dance troupe, in which her lover is a lightboy. The investigation is on to ascertain the cause that led to the double murder. The accused is absconding”, said Ms. Vidhya.
The police rushed to the spot after Ms. Samaya’s brother alerted the police about the incident. The police registered a case and investigation is on.
