1st annual examination for SSLC students begins in Karnataka

The 1st annual examination for SSLC students started in 2,818 examination centres across Karnataka on March 21. On day one, first language — Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, English and Sanskrit — exams will be held from 10 a.m. to 1.15 p.m.

Minister for School Education and Literacy Madhu Bangarappa visited the Karnataka Public School (KPS) examination centre at Malleswaram in Bengaluru and welcomed the students by offering roses. He verified the arrangements at the examination centre.

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) is conducting 1st annual examination for SSLC students. A total of 8,96,447 students — 4,61,563 boys and 4,34,884 girls — from 15,881 high schools have enrolled for the examination across Karnataka.

To avoid malpractices, the KSEAB is web-streaming the examination process. The board has maintained tight security at all examination centres.

Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) and other public transport corporations have provided free bus service for students heading to exam centres.
