NEW DELHI: At least 31 people were injured when a tourist bus overturned near Mandi town on the Chandigarh-Manali Highway at around 4.00 am on Sunday.
Rescue teams responded quickly, and all the injured were taken to nearby hospitals for medical care.
The bus was travelling towards Kasol in the Kullu-Manali region when the accident took place.
Two passengers who were critically injured were referred to Nerchowk Medical College for further treatment. Six others suffered serious injuries, while the remaining passengers had minor injuries.
According to ASP Sagar Chander, preliminary investigations suggest that overspeeding may have caused the accident.
