The Thiruvananthapuram Rural police have arrested a youth for alleged possession of 420 grams of MDMA in Nedumangad.
The accused, Sunner Khan, 34, of Payyampally was apprehended by the District Anti-Narcotic Special Action Force (DANSAF) after his vehicle was intercepted at Pazhakutty junction on Thursday evening, following a tip-off.
According to official sources, the accused is a habitual offender with multiple cases registered against him by both the police and the excise department. He is reportedly a key supplier of narcotic substances in Thiruvananthapuram city and its suburbs, including Nedumangad.
The investigators have launched efforts to trace those who may have been procuring drugs from him. He has been remanded to judicial custody.
