Aimee Lou Wood’s sister Emily Wood spoke out to defend The White Lotus star after the actress’ drama with Saturday Night Live.
“She is out here personifying the word POWERHOUSE,” Emily, 28, captioned an Instagram Story post on Sunday, April 13, posing alongside Aimee, 31. “The admiration I have for this woman is nuts. Beyond comprehension. JUST like my feels of deep animalistic protectiveness over her.”
The makeup artist’s caption continued, “The greatest big sister. My best human on the planet. Her authenticity and originality is incomparable. My God we are really madly blessed to experience life on Earth at the same time as her.”
The selfie Emily posted on Sunday proves that the Wood genes are strong as she looked nearly identical to Aimee. The meaningful caption came after Aimee spoke out against a White Lotus parody on the Saturday, April 12, episode of SNL (hosted by Jon Hamm).

“I did find the SNL thing mean and unfunny xo,” Aimee captioned an Instagram Story post on Sunday. “Such a shame cuz I had such a great time watching it a couple weeks ago. Yes, take the piss for sure — that’s what the show is about — but there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?”
She was referring to SNL’s “White Potus” sketch, which featured characters from The White Lotus season 3 with a political spin. Sarah Sherman portrayed a version of Aimee’s character Chelsea, complete with a British accent and set of fake teeth.
“On a positive note, everyone is agreeing with me about it, so I’m glad I said something instead of going in on myself,” Aimee added in a separate social media post on Sunday.
Aimee eventually shared with followers that SNL did reach out after her comments.

“I’ve had apologies from SNL,” she declared.
The SNL skit came amid the ongoing commentary about Aimee’s teeth on social media.
“It’s, like, cool, and now I want to stop f***ing talking about it. Can I talk about my character? Why am I talking about my gnashers?” she told U.K.’s The Sunday Times in an interview published earlier this month. “It’s like now I’m just a pair of front teeth.”
She also explained that the conversation about her teeth has been “sad” in a way — especially after finding out that White Lotus creator Mike White fought against HBO to have her in the show.
“The whole conversation is just about my teeth, and then it makes me a bit sad because I’m not getting to talk about my work,” she told GQ in a recent interview. “They think it’s nice because they’re not criticizing. And, I have to go there … I don’t know if it was a man that we would be talking about it this much? It’s still going in on a woman’s appearance.”
