The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a Disproportionate Assets case against Gopal Mashetty, former Stores In-charge of the Ordnance Factory in Medak, along with his wife Aruna Mashetty. The case was filed on June 9.

The CBI alleged that the accused, while serving as a Scale-04 Stores Officer at the Ordnance Factory, had amassed assets worth ₹2.17 crore that were disproportionate to his known sources of income. The alleged wealth accumulation took place between January 1, 2010, and June 30, 2024, the bureau said.

Searches were conducted at three locations in Telangana, leading to the recovery of 338 documents related to several immovable properties.
