The Palakkad legion of Senior Chamber International (SCI) has won six national awards for its performance in 2024-25. Apart from winning the awards for the best legion in India, best family legion, best social development programmes, and best public outreach programmes, Palakkad legion president P. Premnath won the best SCI legion president award in the country. Palakkad legion joint secretary Pradeep Kumar Menon won the award for the best member.

SCI national president Chithra Kumar distributed the awards at a conference held in Udupi. Former presidents Varghese Vaidyan, Aravind Rao and B. Jayarajan spoke. M.R. Jayesh from Bengaluru was elected national president for the year 2025-26.
