Telangana Congress hailed the Budget as progressive and a direction to the country on the welfare of downtrodden sections apart from being realistic.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud said that ₹40,234 crore have been allocated for SC welfare, ₹17,169 crore for ST welfare, ₹11,405 crore for Backward Classes, and ₹3,591 crore for minority welfare.
Mr. Goud said focus on Irrigation, Agriculture and Industry reflected the Government’s commitment towards the development indices. Industrial sector allocated ₹3,527 crore was in tune with investments of ₹1.78 lakh crore secured in Davos.
The TPCC chief appreciated Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramaraka for ensuring that the SC and ST sub-plan funds would not be diverted. He said the Young India International Schools and higher allocation to education sector proves the seriousness of the government for future generations.
The Rajiv Yuva Vikasam would be a game-changer for the youth. Overall, the Budget would provide an impetus to the State’s development, he said.
