On the first day of the meeting, the AICC leadership, including its president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, and others spoke on strengthening the Congress and the way ahead for the party.

Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha said that the Telangana government was praised for the BC caste survey done in tune with Rahul Gandhi’s idea. The survey sent a positive signal to the Backward Class communities across the country and this would put pressure on the respective governments for a similar exercise.

Senior Congress leaders coming from across the country also showed keen interest with the Telangana leaders in understanding the process and how the entire exercise was taken up within a short time. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, TPCC president Mahesh Goud and Ministers were among present.
