A few hours after the formal announcement of an alliance with the BJP was made, AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Friday said that the alliance stood united in its unwavering commitment to liberate Tamil Nadu from the regressive, evil governance of the DMK.
In a social media post, Mr. Palaniswami said the alliance would rectify the historic missteps that have hindered the State’s progress, and lay the foundation for an era of inclusive growth, development, and opportunity. Mr. Palaniswami said Union Home Minister Amit Shah and he had the honour of making the momentous announcement on the alliance. “I am deeply grateful to the Hon’ble Union Home Minister Thiru. @AmitShah Avl for honouring the dinner hosted at my residence with his presence. Together, we move forward with a shared vision and steadfast resolve to build a brighter, stronger, and dynamic #TamilNadu,” he said.
