The second trailer for Season 2 of Star Wars prequel series Andor is here — and the focus is on rebellion. The Disney+ series is a fan-favorite, and Star Wars heads seem to be beyond excited to get back on the frontlines next month when the season premieres. One thing is for sure: fans are really connecting with the rebellion aspect, particularly as it pertains to Mon Mothma, a major character in the Star Wars universe.

Fans seem particularly excited to see her address the senate, which is shown in two small clips in the trailer, below.

“This monster will come for us all,” the character, played by Genevieve O’Reilly, says in what appears to be her famous speech where she denounces the Empire and Palpatine. That speech led to her resignation from the senate and the subsequent formation of the Rebel Alliance, which we will undoubtedly begin to see as Andor progresses.

“Andor Season 2 will belong to Mon Mothma,” one fan account wrote on X / Twitter. “Her speech, where she publicly speaks out against the Emperor, will be one of the greatest scenes we will ever witness in Star Wars.” Another added: “This is probably from the speech Mon Mothma gives to the Imperial Senate declaring Palpatine as an enemy after the Ghorman Massacre. A huge moment in Star Wars canon.”

The gravity of the moment was not lost on fans. “MON MOTHMA SCREAMING IN THE SENATE I GOT CHILLS,” one Twitter user wrote, while a second added, “TELL EM MON MOTHMA.”

Fans on YouTube were also pretty hyped up about Mothma’s storyline in the trailer’s comment section. “Oh we are SO seeing Mothma’s speech denouncing the Emperor,” one person wrote. “I am very hyped for that.” Another user replied: “I just wish we could see Palpatine’s reaction to it. But I know we won’t.” Then, a third fan chimed in with a little bit of hope for the scenario. “Never know,” the user wrote. “He showed up in Obi-Wan briefly and that was a big surprise for me. We know McDiarmid is down for anything.”

But perhaps the best response to Mothma’s involvement in Season 2 of Andor came in the form of this tweet with a really killer idea: “Nobody asked but after Andor, we should be getting a series post Return of the Jedi that focuses on Mon Mothma’s attempts to create a new government and how the New Republic becomes over time what we see in the sequel trilogy.” Honestly, we’re all for it. Bring it on.

The second and final season of Andor will premiere on Disney+ on April 22.
