Talking to reporters, Leader of Opposition Edappadi K. Palaniswami said the Enforcement Directorate searches in Tasmac had found ₹1,000-crore irregularities and demanded the resignation of the DMK government.

He said his party staged a walkout because Speaker M. Appavu denied permission to raise this issue as well as the no-confidence motion against him.
