Chase Chrisley is marking a milestone moment.
“Almost one month alcohol free, feeling better than I have in years. God is good #sober #sobriety,” Chrisley, 28, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, March 29, alongside a selfie showing the reality star sitting on a lounge chair with water visibly behind him.
Chrisley’s update comes two months after news broke that he had been identified as a suspect in an alleged assault incident. Per a police report obtained by Us Weekly in January, officers from the Atlanta Police Department responded to a call at Twin Peaks Sports Bar where an employee alleged he was assaulted by the Chrisley Knows Best star.
The alleged victim claimed Chrisley “became really drunk” while inside the bar and started to “act very disrespectful and belligerent.”

The employee told police that Chrisley was asked to exit the restaurant “multiple times,” but he allegedly “refused to leave and started acting more belligerent.” The alleged victim accused Chrisley of slapping him on the face twice, but did not have any injuries and refused medical attention.
The alleged victim claimed he does have security camera footage that recorded the incident. It’s unclear if the footage was shared with the police. Us reached out to Chrisley’s rep for comment at the time.
The Daily Mail reported that Chrisley was booked on a charge of misdemeanor simple battery in January, before being released on a $10,000 bond. Chrisley’s publicist alleged that the employee opted not to “press charges.”
Chrisley denied the allegations in an interview with the outlet in February, claiming that the situation was “blown out of proportion.”
“I didn’t slap that dude in Atlanta. That didn’t happen,” he told the outlet at the time. “If I was gonna put my hands on somebody I would get my money’s worth. I wouldn’t just get a slap. I might have been talking s*** and so was the other guy but I didn’t put my hands on him. If I wasn’t who I was that wouldn’t have been a situation.”
Chase is the son of Todd and Julie Chrisley, who remain in prison after they were found guilty of fraud and tax evasion. The pair also share Savannah, 27, and Grayson, 18, and Todd is dad to Lindsie, 35, and Kyle, 33, from a previous marriage. Todd and Julie adopted Kyle’s daughter Chloe, now 12, in 2016. Savannah has since taken over custody of Grayson and Chloe amid her parents’ legal woes.
Both Todd and Julie’s sentences were reduced in September 2023. Julie isn’t expected to be released from prison until March 2028 while Todd will remain incarcerated through May 2032.
“Savannah will go see my dad, I’ll go see my mom. We’ll rotate, and Savannah will normally take the kids [Grayson and Chloe] down with her,” Chase explained on the “Chasin’ Birdies” podcast in May 2023. “But it’s tough, man. I mean, our family loves really, really hard, so when you love somebody as much as we love each other, it’s definitely very difficult to see your loved ones in a situation like that.”
