Chennithala seeks judicial probe into tribal youth’s death

Senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala on Wednesday sought a judicial investigation into the unnatural death of an 18-year-old tribal youth at Kalpetta police station.

Speaking to reporters in Thiruvananthapuram, Mr. Chennithala alleged that the Crime Branch probe announced by the government would not be sufficient to bring to light the truth. He said a judicial investigation was necessary in the wake of the grave allegations raised against the police by the victim’s family.
