Chopper crashes in Uttarakhand’s Kedarnath, at least 5 dead

Atleast five were killed as a helicopter with seven people on board crashed shortly after takeoff in Uttarakhand’s Kedarnath on Sunday (June 15, 2025).

This is the fifth helicopter accident in Uttarakhand in around 40 days. The helicopter was flying from Kedarnath to Guptkashi. Five adults, a child and a pilot were onboard.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took to X and said, “Very sad news has been received about a helicopter crash in Rudraprayag district. SDRF, local administration and other rescue teams are engaged in relief and rescue operations.”
