Three items made headlines this week after being recalled, including products from two iconic brands.

Cans of Coca-Cola were pulled from shelves over foreign material contamination, while Tostitos tortilla chips were recalled over an undeclared allergen. Decaf coffee grounds were also impacted, as they were mislabeled and actually contain caffeine.

Check your fridge and pantry for the following items.

Earlier this month, more than 10,000 cans of Coca-Cola were recalled in two states over potential plastic contamination.

On Monday, the Food and Drug Administration gave the recall the second-highest risk classification, as foods and drinks that contain foreign objects can be a safety hazard if consumed.

The FDA’s report did not include specific instructions for customers who have the recalled Coca-Cola. If you’d like to err on the side of caution, consider throwing away or returning the cans.

On Wednesday, Frito-Lay announced a recall of about 1,300 bags of Tostitos tortilla chips sold across 13 states due to an undeclared milk allergen. The company said the recalled products may contain nacho cheese tortilla chips, which have milk.

If you have an allergy or sensitivity to milk, do not eat the recalled Tostitos chips, as consuming them may “run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction,” the FDA said. If you can consume milk, the chips are otherwise safe to eat.

On March 13, over 4,000 bags of decaf coffee from the brand Our Family were recalled over a mislabeling issue. Certain cases of Our Family’s Traverse City Cherry Decaf Ground Coffee, sold in 15 states, were in fact caffeinated.

On Tuesday, the FDA gave the recall a class 2 risk level. The agency did not provide instructions for customers who have the recalled coffee grounds, but people who are sensitive to caffeine may want to consider disposing of the product. If you can consume caffeine, the recalled coffee grounds are otherwise safe to brew and drink.
