Telangana’s Department of Intermediate Education on Wednesday (April 9, 2025) launched ‘Project SERVE’, a special initiative aimed at enhancing education quality in all government junior and vocational colleges via online platform.

The programme is organised with the partnership of Ek Step Foundation and the first session was delivered by coordinator of the project Gopal Subramaniyam, communication skills teacher Vara Prasad, and included students from two government colleges in the city. Mr. Vara Prasad provided the students with insights into effective communication and interview skills.

According to director of Intermediate Education Krishna Aditya, the phased rollout of digital education will address key challenges such as faculty shortages, skill gaps, and dropout rates in colleges. To ensure uninterrupted education for colleges with limited faculty, a shared digital platform will broadcast lessons. This will enable students to benefit from high-quality learning resources without disruption, as per a press note.

In the pilot phase, the programme will be implemented at Government Vocational Junior College, Nampally and Government Junior College, Chanchalguda.

Besides, all colleges have been instructed to conduct a comprehensive 21-day development program focusing on attendance, attention, respect, innovation , discipline and dedication, towards enhancing the success rate of students.
