Two individuals involved in an illegal online cricket betting racket were arrested by the South zone team of the Commissioner’s Task Force in coordination with the Abids police.
The accused, identified as Ramdev Ladha and Pavan Agarwal, were arrested at Bombay Bar following a tip-off. The police seized net cash amounting to ₹1.36 lakh, along with two mobile phones and online betting IDs worth ₹15.62 lakh.
Ladha, a resident of Ashok Nagar, Hyderabad, was operating as a bookie, while Pavan Agarwal, hailing from Narayanaguda, was acting as a punter. Both individuals, engaged in private business, had developed a habit of betting and had procured online cricket betting user IDs from the main bookie, Shriraj Boob, also a resident of Ashok Nagar. They were using a web-based platform, Radhe Exchange to facilitate betting during the ongoing IPL 2025 season. Additionally, they were providing login credentials to punters in exchange for commission, thereby engaging in unlawful activities.
The seized cash, mobile phones, and online IDs have been handed over to the Abids police for further investigation.
