Actor Eric Dane announced on Thursday, April 10, that he’s been diagnosed with ALS. “I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter,” Dane, 52, noted in a statement, confirming that he is “able to continue working” and is “looking forward to returning to [the] set of Euphoria next week.” Dane concluded by asking for “privacy” for his loved ones, including wife Rebecca Gayheart and their two children, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13. There is no cure for ALS, which is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. News of Dane’s health battle comes shortly after Gayheart, 53, filed to dismiss their divorce. The couple, who tied the knot in 2004, initially separated in 2018 but have remained friendly while coparenting their daughters. Gayheart requested to dismiss her divorce petition in March.
