Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has issued orders to extend the last date to apply for Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme to April 14. According to the guidelines of the scheme issued on March 25, 2025, the last date to apply was up to April 5.
The scheme aims to provide financial assistance up to ₹4 lakh to youth from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BC), Minority and EWS/EBC communities.
At a video conference held from Hyderabad on Monday (March 31, 2025), the Deputy Chief Minister said that the State government would spend ₹10,000 crore for the scheme to support unemployed youth.
He said that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy suggested officials to put in efforts to resolve issues if there were to be any. The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister would regularly review progress of the scheme.
Mr. Bhatti wanted a young officer to be appointed to each district to resolve issues, from receiving applications to grounding of the projects, so that the unemployed youth do not face any difficulties.
Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari, secretaries, collectors and others participated in the video conference.
