Government effects reshuffle of IPS officers

The State government on Thursday made a reshuffle within the Kerala Police force.

As per a government order, J Himendranath, Superintendent of Police (SP), Crime Branch, Kottayam, has been transferred and posted as SP, Telecom. Kuriakose V.U., SP, Crime Branch, Ernakulam, has been transferred and posted as SP, State Special Branch, Ernakulam Range, in an ex-cadre post.

To facilitate the posting an ex-cadre post of SP, State Special Branch, Ernakulam Range, was created for a period of one year with effect from June 5 and this post is declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the cadre post of SP (Administration), State Special Branch.

P.A Mohammed Arif, SP, Special Cell, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB), Ernakulam, was transferred and posted as Assistant Director (Police Science), Kerala Police Academy, after transferring K. Salim. On transfer, K. Salim is posted as Commandant, Malabar Special Police. M.J Sojan, SP, Central Unit-II, Crime Branch, Ernakulam, has been transferred and posted as SP, Special Cell, VACB, Ernakulam, after transferring P.A Mohammed Arif.

K.K Moideenkutty, SP, Crime Branch, Kozhikode and Wayanad, has also been transferred and posted as Assistant Director (Training), Kerala Police Academy, in the ex-cadre post. To facilitate the transfer, an ex-cadre post of Assistant Director (Training), Kerala Police Academy, was created for a period of one year with effect from June 5 and this post is declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the cadre post of Assistant Director (Administration), Kerala Police Academy.
