Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha inaugurated the Satyanarayanapuram model police station building in NTR Police Commissionerate here on Monday.
Ms. Anitha, along with Director General of Police Harish Kumar Gupta, Vijayawada Parliament Member Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) and Government Whip Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, opened the new police station building which has a gym facility and surveillance cameras.
It has an ACP office, rest rooms for staff, and also a play zone for the children of complainants. It will be under the surveillance of 10 CCTV cameras.
Speaking on the occasion, the Home Minister said that the Satyanarayanapuram station is the only police station in the State having a gym for the staff.
“Police are working round the clock to maintain law and order and provide protection for the public. Instructions have been given to enhance e-vigil in all police stations in the State,” Ms. Anitha said.
Police Commissioner S.V. Raja Sekhara Babu and other officials were present.
