Elon Musk has launched a scathing attack on President Donald Trump’s trade advisor, Peter Navarro, calling him “dumber than a sack of bricks,” a sentiment echoed by his brother Kimbal Musk, who sarcastically challenged Navarro‘s claims about Tesla engines and urged Trump to fire him “if he wants to put America first.”
The whole scenario started with Musk calling Navarro “Peter Retarrdo” and “dumber than a sack of bricks.”
Kimbal also attacked Navarro, calling him out for saying that Teslas have engines.
“Just the fact that Navarro thinks that Tesla’s have engines says it all. Wow. And this guy is in charge of trade?” Kimbal said.
Kimbal’s post gets a reply from Elon Musk
Elon Musk quickly responded to Kimbal’s post, apologising to bricks for comparing them with Navarro.
“I’d like to apologize to bricks for calling Peter Retarrdo dumber than a sack of bricks. That was so unfair to bricks,” he said, prompting a reply from his brother.
“A moment of silence please. For all the bricks that have been unfairly maligned when being compared to Navarro 🙏”
Kimbal Musk urges Trump to sack Navarro
Kimbal also urged President Trump to fire him.
“@realDonaldTrump Mr President, if Peter Navarro has lied to you about Ron Vara, what else has he lied to you about?” he said.
🇺🇸Put America first and fire him! 🇺🇸
Navarro also called Musk a car “assembler” rather than a manufacturer, emphasising Tesla’s reliance on components sourced from other countries. Musk shared data shared by Cars.com’s official American-Made Index, which showed that the top 4 most American-made cars are all Teslas: Model Y, Model 3, Model X and Model S.
“Tesla has the most American-made cars. Navarro is dumber than a sack of bricks,” Musk wrote in one post. He also dubbed Peter Navarro as “Peter Retarrdo”.
In a followup post, Musk stated, “Navarro is truly a moron. What he says here is demonstrably false.”
