Emma Roberts is leaning into blue outfits this spring, but the sartorial strategy may be more than thread deep.
Roberts, 34, showed off her vacation style in a teal frock via Instagram while soaking up the sun on a tropical getaway. In the snap, she rocked a Lucie Midi Dress from Rixo ($460) featuring a planting neckline equipped with white lace detailing. The rest of the frock was finished with thick straps detailed with pastel pink bows and floral embellishments on her chest and the hem of her flowy skirt.
Styled by Brit and Kara Elkin, Roberts accessorized her getup with her engagement ring from fiancé Cody John, gold stud earrings and rectangular shades.
The actress’ crimson red hair, which she debuted last month, was parted to the side and styled in beachy curls. For glam, Roberts donned a full beat, courtesy of makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan Fisher, including a dewy base, rosy cheeks and brown eyeliner swept across her waterline.
“Babyblue,” Roberts captioned the post, prompting fans to immediately connect the look to her 2006 Aquamarine character, Claire Brown.
“Aquamarine vibes,” one fan wrote, as a second agreed, “This is giving Claire.” Another follower couldn’t help but gush, “In Aquamarine universe queen it’s so beautiful 🩵🩵💙💙,” as third commented, “Aquamarine red haired princess I loveeee.”
This isn’t the first Aquamarine-coded look Roberts has worn on her vacation — making Us wonder (and pray) for a sequel.

On March 27, she showed off a silk Reformation dress ($348) while posing in the golden sunlight. The mint dress was equipped with a soft collar and delicate embroidery.
“‘That this blue exists / makes my life a remarkable one / just to have seen it.’ – Bluets by Maggie Nelson 🩵,” Roberts captioned the post, referencing the author’s 2009 book.
Roberts previously told The Cut she would be down for a sequel to Aquamarine in June 2023, sharing, “People come up to me all the time about it. I always am, like, ‘How can we revive Wild Child or Aquamarine?’ I think about it all the time now that I’m producing.” She added, “An Aquamarine sequel would be my dream.”
Here’s to hoping her costars, Sara Paxton (Aquamarine) and Hailey Rogers (JoJo), are on board, too!
