Currys has been a regular for unexpected price reductions and discounts in the UK gaming scene, and now its 10% discount on Nintendo eShop gift cards is another delightful surprise. If you were planning on spending some cash, depending on what gets revealed at the Nintendo Switch 2 direct on Wednesday, the 2nd of April, it seems like Currys wants to have your back.
This isn’t just for one digital gift card either, Currys made it so the whole range of Nintendo eShop credit—in the amounts of £15, £25, £50, £75, £100—can have 10% knocked off at checkout when you used the promo code, “NINTENDODIGITAL10”.
This means that you can receive a discount as big as £10 when buying the £100 card, only spending £90 altogether. Then, you’ll have that £10 in extra value on games and subscriptions when spending on the Nintendo eShop.
For those who have never redeemed a gift card on their Nintendo Switch before, you just need to carry out the following steps once the download key you’ll get has been added to your online Currys account:
- When on your Nintendo Switch’s home menu, select “Nintendo eShop”
- Choose the account for which you want to redeem the credit
- Select the option for “Redeem Code”
- Put in the 16-character download code that Currys would have provided you following your purchase
- Press “Confirm”, and the funds should then be added to your account
There won’t be any deadlines for which you need to use the code. So, if you want to save your boosted eShop credit to eventually spend on the upcoming Mario Kart 9 or Pokémon Legends Z-A, you are more than free to do so.
