Actor and caricaturist Jayaraj Warrier will be honoured with the inaugural S.P. Pillai Award at an event that marks the 40th death anniversary of actor S.P. Pillai in Ettumanur on June 11. Instituted by the Ettumanoor Janakeeya Vikasana Samiti, the award also carries a cash prize of ₹10,000 and a memento.
The function will be inaugurated by Transport Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar. K. Francis George, MP, will be the chief guest. Filmmaker Joshy Mathew will also be felicitated during the event.
