The South Central Railway has extended its Special Fare Special Premium Tatkal train service Kacheguda-Madurai-Kacheguda (07191/92) through the mainline section of the Southern Railway till May first week.
According to official sources, the South-Central Railway started operating this Weekly Special Fare Special PT service through the Southern Railway mainline from April 2024.
This weekly service, which leaves Kacheguda on every Monday at 8.30 p.m. reaches Madurai at 1.20 a.m. on Wednesday. It leaves Madurai on the same day (Wednesday) by 10.40 a.m. to reach Kacheguda the next day (Thursday) by 1.25 p.m.
This service will be available for the mainline commuters to travel between Villupuram and Tiruchi on Tuesdays and between Tiruchi and Villupuram on Wednesdays till the first week of May.
It leaves Villupuram by 4.15 p.m. on Tuesdays and stop at Cuddalore Port Junction, Chidambaram, Sirkazhi, Mayiladuthurai Junction, Kumbakonam, and Thanjavur Junction before reaching Tiruchi by 9.40 p.m.
In the return direction, it will leave Tiruchi by 1.25 p.m. on Wednesdays and reach Villupuram by 7.45 p.m. on the same day before proceeding to its destination through Tiruvannamalai and Katpadi, sources said.
