Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh on Monday said that Karnataka is establishing a Quantum Research Park (Phase 2) and a Centre for Applied AI for Tech Solutions (CATS) to promote AI-based governance in administration.
Steps have been taken to introduce AI courses at the school level across the State in association with IIITB, she said.

She said initiatives like the Rajiv Gandhi Entrepreneurship Programme and the New Age Innovation Network are nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship. The initiatives reflect Karnataka’s commitment to building a robust talent pipeline and fostering a thriving start-up ecosystem.
She said “Kalike Jothege Kaushalya”, a skill-based learning that aims to provide skill development and career guidance. Likewise, “PRERANA” is a structured mentorship started in 2024-25 to connect resource persons of the industry and society, and “Avishkar” is helping build a comprehensive intellectual property ecosystem in engineering, polytechnic, and first-grade degree colleges, Dr. Shalini Rajneesh said.
