The prime accused in the Sakshi TV controversy case V.V.R. Krishnam Raju was arrested reportedly near Bheemunipatnam in Visakhapatnam district late on Wednesday (June 11, 2025) night.

He was arrested by a police team from Thullur and was being shifted to Guntur.

The Guntur police confirmed the development. The police had been searching for Mr Krishnam Raju since his alleged derogatory remarks about Amaravati region and women during a live TV debate moderated by senior journalist Kommineni Srinivasa Rao on Sakshi Telugu TV a few days ago.

The police have already arrested Mr Srinivasa Rao. The Thullur police named Mr Krishnam Raju as the prime accused, Mr Srinivasa Rao as second accused and Sakshi TV as third accused in this case, based on a complaint lodged by a woman.
