Man dies in bike accident in Bengaluru

An accident in Sadashivanagar claimed the life of a 21-year-old man early on Monday. The victim, identified as Vijay Madiki from Assam, was riding pillion when the accident occurred.

Vijay and his friend Suhail, both employees at a store, were on their way home after purchasing new clothes for Id-ul-Fitr. Suhail was driving the bike. A cover in which the new clothes were kept got entangled in the bike’s handle, causing him to lose control. Vijay fell and succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while Suhail sustained severe injuries and was rushed to M.S. Ramaiah Hospital, where his condition remains critical, said the police.

The duo had been residing in a rented house in Sadashivanagar. The Sadashivanagar traffic police have registered a case. Initial investigation has revealed that neither of them was wearing a helmet.
