A 37-year-old man had allegedly killed his two children before ending his life in Kakinada city, in Andhra Pradesh. Vanapalli Chandra Kishore, an accountant with a public sector unit, resorted to the heinous act after celebrating Holi with his family in his office on March 14.

According to Sarpavaram Circle Inspector Peddi Raju, the accused had allegedly taken his two children Joshit (7) and Nikhil (6) to his house to end their lives before killing himself, and had asked his wife to stay in his office itself.

East Godavari Superintendent of Police G. Bindu Madhav told The Hindu, “The apparent reason that drove Mr. Chandra Kishore to take the extreme step is a rift with his wife as per a note purportedly left behind by him. As per the note, he was depressed over the family problems and expressed insecurity of the future of his boys in the competitive world.”

SP Bindu Madhav said a case has been registered and the investigation is on. Sarpavaram CI Mr. Pedda Raju said that Chandra Sekhar has recently changed the school of his boys.
