A man reportedly lost over ₹50 lakh in yet another incident of online scam in the district.

The victim, a resident of Muvattupuzha, reportedly came across a social media advertisement related to an online trading platform. He was asked to click on a link attached to the advertisement, and subsequently, he was added to a WhatsApp group.

He was lured into investing ₹52.85 lakh in the stock market after being promised high returns. The Muvattupuzha police have launched an investigation.
