:
Minister for Higher Education Govi. Chezhiaan said Governor R.N. Ravi was unable to digest the historic Supreme Court verdict on bills kept pending by him, and was, therefore, making remarks against the State. He pointed out that in 2023, Vijay Sampla, the then Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, had said that Bihar stood second in crimes against Dalits.
When the situation is bad in the Governor’s own State, what right does he have to speak about Tamil Nadu, he said. “Mr. Ravi is speaking highly about Sanatana Dharma, which was opposed by Ambedkar. But he is also concerned about Dalits. This dual role drama would not work,” he said.
