Ministers distribute aids, assistance to people with disabilities

Minister for Municipal Administration K.N. Nehru and Minister for School Education Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi on Sunday distributed welfare assistance and artificial limbs to people with disabilities here.

According to a press release, 110 beneficiaries were given various welfare aids, including custom-made vehicles, scooters, and others worth ₹1.12 crore.

The Ministers distributed various equipment and assistance such as artificial limbs, wheelchairs, mobiles, and others to the people with disabilities, under the corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds on behalf of the Indian Oil Corporation and the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO). A total of 303 beneficiaries received welfare aids worth ₹62 lakh.

Collector M. Pradeep Kumar was present.
