NLCIL launches ‘Aran’ safety app

NLC India Limited (NLCIL) on Wednesday launched a mobile safety app as part of the 54th National Safety Week.

According to a press release, the theme for this year’s National Safety Week is ‘Safety and Well-being crucial for Viksit Bharat.’ Speaking after hoisting the Safety Flag, Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of NLCIL said the mobile application ‘Aran’ accorded utmost priority to safety. The app is expected to play an important role in ensuring a ‘zero accident’ environment at NLCIL.

The CMD called upon all stakeholders to download the app on their mobile phones and use it to prevent mishaps and accidents, especially in the industrial units. The mobile application contains several safety aspects and images can be directly reported or uploaded through the app.

The status of the observation can also be monitored. The app contains accidents, details of latest measures taken on the safety front, audit and statistical reports, minutes of safety committee meetings and circulars issued by the competent authorities.

Samir Swarup, Director (Human Resources) and M. Venkatachalam, Director (Power) were present.
