MUMBAI: Amboli Police have registered an FIR against an actor after a TV actress complained of being molested during a Holi party in her office building. Police are investigating further.
The incident occurred between 3:30 pm and 4:00 pm on March 14. The complainant stated that she and her friends were present at the party. She added that the accused was intoxicated and behaving recklessly.
The FIR states that the accused was applying Holi colours to the women present at the party. The complainant was not keen on playing Holi with him, so she resisted when he tried to apply colours on her and moved away. She tried to hide behind a snacks stall, but the accused pursued her.
The FIR mentions that she covered her face, but he forcibly grabbed her face and smeared colour on her cheeks. He professed his love for her and claimed that “nobody would be able to save her.” He then groped her while applying colours. The complainant pushed him away and ran to the washroom in shock.
Later, when she confided in a male friend, he confronted the accused, and the duo had a scuffle. Subsequently, the complainant approached Amboli police station, and an FIR was registered. Police have served a notice to the accused.
