Over 80,000 students given tentative allotment in round 2 of T.N. engineering admission counselling

Tentative allotments for the second round of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling session have been given to 80,650 candidates. This includes 10,534 candidates from the government schools ( under the 7.5 per cent horizontal reservation) category.

A TNEA press release said out of 98,565 eligible candidates in the general category, 70,116 were given tentative allotments. Similarly, out of 16,259 eligible candidates in the government schools category, 10,534 were given seat allotments.

The candidates are required to confirm their seats using proper confirmation option on or before July 30 failing which may lead to cancellation of allotment, the release added.
