Prasanth appears for hearing – The Hindu

Suspended IAS officer appeared before Chief Secretary Sarada Muraleedharan for a hearing on Wednesday.

Mr Prasanth is expected to answer disciplinary charges brought against him by the government. The government accused him of disparaging senior officers on social media, disrupting the Civil Service’s cohesion, insubordination, and violating Civil Services rules. 

Earlier, Ms Muraleedharan had rejected Mr .Prasanth’s request to live-stream the hearing. He had also remarked on the hearing on social media. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the issue was purely disciplinary and government was constrained to follow due procedure.
