Taking a dig at the BJP-led government at the Centre, Karnataka Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge has stated that the February 2025 Mood of the Nation Survey, conducted by India Today and C-Voter, reveals significant public concern over India’s economic landscape.

“A substantial 76% of respondents perceive unemployment as a pressing issue, with 55% labeling it very serious and 21% considering it somewhat serious. Similarly, 57% of participants believe that the country’s economy will either deteriorate or remain stagnant over the next six months. Comparing with the previous year, 64% of those surveyed find it more challenging to manage their daily expenses. This concern is even more pronounced among lower-income individuals, with 70% reporting increased financial strain,” he pointed out in a social media post.

Ridiculing the Centre, he remarked, “But no worries. Razing of Aurangzeb’s tomb and hyper nationalism will see us through this misery as well.”
