Terming the passing of the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2025, a positive development, Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam general secretary Vellappay Natesan has said it would help resolve the Munambam land dispute.
Speaking to mediapersons at Kanichukulangara in Alappuzha on Thursday, Mr. Natesan said the Bill was not against Muslims. “What we witnessed in the Lok Sabha was a demonstration of Muslim strength,” he added.
Earlier, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president Rajeev Chandrasekhar visited the SNDP Yogam general secretary at the latter’s house. Mr. Natesan said the BJP in Kerala would improve under the leadership of the new president.
Mr. Chandrasekhar termed the visit a courtesy call. “I have a long-standing association with the SNDP Yogam general secretary and this is not a political visit,” the BJP president said.
