Andhra Pradesh Minister for Revenue, Registration & Stamps A. Satya Prasad launched the slot booking services for document registrations in the sub-registrar offices on Friday.

Mr. Satya Prasad said slot bookings were aimed at providing hassle-free services to citizens. “People can now choose a convenient time and date on the official website and book a slot, and avoid long waiting time. Sellers, buyers, and witnesses can visit the sub-registrar office at the chosen time and complete the registration process smoothly,” he said.

The Minister said slot-based appointments would reduce the role of middlemen. “The service is now available in 26 district registrar offices, and will gradually be extended to all the 296 offices. Pilot implementation in Gandhinagar and Kankipadu sub-registrar offices has received a positive response from the public,” he said.

“Once data entry is done, fee paid and document prepared online, the registration process at the office can be completed in 10 minutes. If someone misses booking a slot, they can still get their document registered after 5 p.m. Even on public holidays, registrations will be accepted with a special fee of ₹5,000,” he said.
