An armed gang of four hacked a 42-year-old rowdy-sheeter to death at a bar in Soladevanahalli, where he had come to drink on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Jayaram K., a resident of Chikkabommasandra in Yelahanka New Town. He was a history-sheeter at Yelahaka New Town police station since 2016, with over half a dozen cases pending against him, the police said.

The deceased was at the bar when the gang, armed with machetes, entered and launched a relentless attack. Other customers ran for safety while the staff was in shock.

The Soladevanahalli police rushed to the spot and took up a case of murder. The police have launched a manhunt for the assailants.
