A school assistant of Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) at Peapully mandal in the district was suspended for allegedly misbehaving with school children.

District Collector Rajakumari Gania, in a statement on Thursday, said that action was taken against the Social Sciences school assistant of Enugumarri ZPHS, M Bojjanna, following written complaint from the villagers and parents alleging misbehaviour towards their wards. He was also found to be negligent in his duties, the Collector said.

Following protests by the parents, an enquiry was ordered and based on the report of the mandal and district educational officers, Bojjanna was placed under suspension. Though the principal had earlier warned Bojjanna to change his behaviour, the latter did not mend his ways and continued misbehaving with girl students, the Collector said.
