Students protesting against the delay in arrest at Vellore South All Women Police Station.

The Vellore South All Women Police Station (AWPS) has registered a case against the vice-principal of a private arts and science college on charges of sexual abuse.

The police said the vice-principal, S. Anbazhagan, was booked on sexual abuse charges, following a complaint filed by a 37-year-old guest lecturer of the college.

Anbazhagan has been absconding since the filing of the complaint.

Meanwhile, students protested against the delay in the arrest of the vice-principal. They gheraoed the police officers of the AWPS demanding immediate action.

The police assured the protesting students of the vice-principal’s immediate arrest.
