The Tamil Nadu government would open 500 new Aavin booths across the State at a cost of ₹ 10 crore, Minister for Milk and Dairy Development R.S. Rajakannappan announced in the Assembly on Thursday. In his reply to the discussion on Demand for Grants of the Department of Dairy Development, he said that 1,437 cloud-based milk analysers would be installed in milk cooperative societies at a cost of ₹9.34 crore. Additionally, 129 advanced infrared analyser devices would be provided to the milk cooperative at a cost of ₹6.45 crore to detect adulteration in milk.
