The Tamil Nadu Government has extended financial assistance of ₹5 lakh to martial arts expert and archery coach Shihan Hussaini, who has been hospitalised.

On the directions of Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, the funds have been released from the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu, an official release said.

Transgender Welfare Board thanks Udhayanidhi

In another event, office-bearers of the Transgender Welfare Board called on Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin at his camp office and thanked him for the announcement made by the Tamil Nadu Government for their welfare measures.

The State Government, during the presentation of the T.N. Budget for 2025-26, had announced that members of the third gender would be inducted into the Home Guards and that they would also be extended benefits under the Pudhumai Penn and Tamil Puthalvan programmes.
