IT and Industries Minister D.Sridhar Babu on Monday underscored the need for equipping the youth of the State with top-tier skills aligned with the evolving needs of various industries.

Chairing a review meeting on the Young India Skills University, on its campus in the Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI) in Gachibowli here, the Minister said students should be industry-ready upon completion of their courses.

Telangana’s youth possess immense potential and with targeted training aligned to market demands, they can be transformed into globally competitive professionals. He advocated for continuous collaboration with industry stakeholders in designing curriculum, ensuring courses reflect real-world demands, the Minister’s office said in a release.

The government is committed to equipping the youth of Telangana with top-tier skills to align with the evolving needs of various industries, Mr.Sridhar Babu said. He outlined a strategic vision aimed at making Telangana a hub for highly skilled human resources.

The Minister directed the university to coordinate closely with key state institutions, including premier educational and research centres, TASK and the Digital Employment Exchange of Telangana, to strengthen the ecosystem.

Special Chief Secretary-IT and Industries Jayesh Ranjan and Vice-Chancellor Subba Rao were among those who attended the review meeting.
