Deeksha R. from Vagdevi PU College in Tirthahalli was the joint topper in Karnataka in the Science stream scoring 599 out of 600 marks.

Deeksha R., a student of Vagdevi PU College at Tirthahalli in Shivamogga district of Karnataka, is the joint topper in the PU exams by securing 599 marks out of 600 in the science stream.
She is the daughter of Raghavendra Kallu K.V. and Usha V. of Tirthahalli who are teachers in government high schools. Deeksha scored 100 in all subjects, except Chemistry, in which she secured 99/100.
Deeksha told mediapersons that she had the support of the teaching faculty, and parents at home. She wants to pursue a course in engineering.
