Two boys drowned in a lake at Anadimangalam village near Chengam town here on Saturday after they slipped into the waterbody while playing on the bund. The deceased have been identified as A. Bharath, 8, and his cousin R. Deva, 3.

Initial inquiry revealed that Bharath’s parents were busy at work when the incident occurred.
