Two held for forging doctors’ seals

The North Paravur Police on Sunday (March 23) arrested two persons on charge of manufacturing fake seals and prescriptions of doctors to illegally procure nitrazepam tablets for personal use and sale.

Although these tablets are reportedly prescribed by doctors to treat select mental ailments, they are sometimes misused by drug addicts. Those arrested are North Paravur natives Nikson, 31, and Sanoop, 36. Their arrest followed a tip-off received by Vaibhav Saxena, the District Police Chief (Ernakulam Rural), police sources said.
